Mobile trackpad / Optical Trackpad

Optical Trackpad is an optic based navigation module for small handheld devices such as mobile phone, smart phone, remote controller and MID products. Since its birth in 2004, it is noted as one of the most advanced input device for next generation handhelds with releases of the most advanced smart phones from leading smart phone makers.

Optical Trackpad introduces the concept of pointers(cursors) in mobile platform and acts identical to regular mouse in PC system, and it can move, navigate, click, Scroll, drag and select with cursor. This feature allows GUI in much variation and sets Optical Trackpad as leading input device for high performance handhelds such as smart phone and MID which are rising rapidly in the market with easy operation and innovative GUI.

Crucialtec has recently introduced ultra slim package and this ultra slim package is being noted as the only alternative input device for mobile with trends of slim and easy.

Step1
OTP retrieves surface image (fingerprint, characteristics of finger surface) of a finger tip (work-space) by investigating invisible ray of IR-LED.

Step 2.
Transmit the retrieved image data to image sensor (DSP) through Nano- optic module.

Step 3.
The data returned from image sensor is displayed on mobile phone screen, thus making mouse movements on screen similar to computer mice.

Step 4.
Behavior of OTP is superior to that of ordinary PC mouse, and completely different & outstanding UI has been designed and developed ready and fully optimized to be marketed
